This course explores the development and maintenance of agriculture, animal systems, natural resources, and other food sources. Students will examine the relationship between agriculture and natural resources and the environment, health, politics, and world trade, while considering the impact of technology and conservation practices. Topics include current controversies in food production as well as methods to increase safety, promote a healthy environment, and design for sustainability.
